Check the chip
Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. Look for a chip labelled Apple M1 or a later Apple M-series chip. If the window lists an Intel processor, the Mac is not Apple silicon.
Apple silicon support lets Cueable use the modern on-device intelligence, speech and interface frameworks behind its native experience.
Check macOS
The same About This Mac window shows the installed macOS version. Cueable requires macOS 26, so a compatible chip alone is not enough if the computer is running an older system.
Before a major upgrade, confirm that your other essential apps support it and make a current backup.
Why Cueable has a narrow requirement
Supporting newer hardware and one modern operating system allows a small app to build deeply around Mac capabilities instead of carrying multiple platform layers. The consequence is reduced device coverage.
If you need Windows, Android, iPhone or older-Mac access, a cross-platform flashcard tool will fit better.
