Free Cueable is supposed to be enough

Free Cueable includes the foundation that makes the app useful: flashcards, FSRS reviews, core active-recall activities, Adaptive Cuepacks, Automatic Format Rescue, and advanced planning for study plans and deadlines. You should be able to build material, practise it, repair weak memories and prepare for a real date without subscribing.

Automatic Format Rescue is especially important to keep free. When knowledge repeatedly slips, Cueable can test the same idea through a linked activity format before returning to the original card. That is part of making recall effective, not a luxury tax on struggling students.

  • Flashcards and FSRS reviews
  • Core active-recall activities
  • Adaptive Cuepacks
  • Automatic Format Rescue
  • Advanced study-plan and deadline planning
  • Private on-device study with optional iCloud sync

Cueable+ pays for convenience and depth

Cueable+ is for people who want Cueable to make more of the small decisions surrounding study. Study Autopilot chooses the most important plan or set, suitable material and a useful session length. Plan Home turns several plans into one overview with progress, phases, upcoming work, important dates and a recommended next action.

That can be valuable when the difficulty is not understanding how to study, but deciding what deserves attention every time you open the app. It is also useful for people managing several subjects, modules or overlapping deadlines.

  • Study Autopilot
  • Holistic planning plus Plan Home
  • Set Folders
  • Multiple Select
  • Assertion Pairs
  • Improved Multiple Choice
  • Focus Mode
  • Micro-breaks
03

You probably do not need Cueable+ if

If you study one subject at a time, already know which set to open and are happy with Cueable's core practice modes, the free version may give you everything that changes your learning. Paying will not make an unclear card clear, create motivation from nothing or replace sleep and consistent practice.

You also should not buy Cueable+ because a countdown, fake scarcity message or guilt prompt pressures you. Cueable will not be released with a website checkout, and the final App Store paywall should state its real price, duration, renewal and offer terms before you confirm.

  • Your current plan is simple and easy to manage
  • You rarely lose time deciding what to study
  • The free practice formats match your assessments
  • Folders would not change how you organise material
  • Full-screen focus tools are unnecessary for you
  • The cost would create stress or compete with something more important
04

Cueable+ may be worth it if

Cueable+ makes more sense when planning friction repeatedly steals study time. If you have five plans, three deadlines and no confidence about what should happen today, Plan Home and Study Autopilot can remove a recurring decision rather than add decoration.

The paid practice formats also matter when they match the knowledge. Multiple Select can test questions with several correct answers and partial credit. Assertion Pairs can probe whether two connected claims are independently true. Improved Multiple Choice uses closer distractors and varied wording to reduce answer-position and phrase memorisation.

  • You juggle several active plans or subjects
  • You postpone study because choosing the next task is exhausting
  • Your assessments use multi-answer or assertion-style questions
  • You want subject and term folders without merging sets
  • You benefit from full-screen focus and gentle micro-breaks
  • The price comfortably fits your budget
05

Lifetime is not automatically the sensible choice

A one-time Lifetime purchase can feel safer than another subscription, but it only makes sense if you expect to use Cueable+ long enough and understand the trade. The final local price will come from the App Store, so there is no honest break-even calculation yet.

If you already have a Monthly or Yearly subscription and later buy Lifetime, Apple may not cancel the subscription automatically. Cueable should warn you to check your Apple subscription settings. A permanent entitlement should never become a reason to pay twice by accident.

06

Try the free version before deciding

The best Cueable+ sales pitch should be a useful free Cueable experience. Build or import a real topic, follow a deadline plan and study for long enough to notice where the friction actually occurs. If the problem is card quality, fix the cards. If the problem is an overloaded schedule, reduce the scope. If the repeated problem is choosing and organising the next session, Cueable+ may help.

Any trial or offer available at launch will be shown by Apple and subject to Apple eligibility. Do not start a trial merely to satisfy a notification. Start when you have enough real material and time to evaluate whether the paid features change your routine.

07

Why charge at all

Cueable takes design, engineering, testing, support and ongoing compatibility work. Cueable+ is how that work can become sustainable without advertising, selling study data or turning every user into a customer profile. Paying is useful when the added features create real value for you, and it supports continued development.

That does not mean every user owes the developer a subscription. People should be able to choose the free tier without being treated as a failed conversion. Honest software can make money by clearly offering more, not by making the starting point deliberately miserable.

08

The honest answer

You probably do not need Cueable+. Start with Cueable. Use the free planning, recall and repair tools. Keep your money if they solve the problem.

Choose Cueable+ only if holistic planning, automatic session selection, deeper question types, organisation or focus tools repeatedly save you time and improve your practice. That is a narrower pitch than saying everyone needs the upgrade. It is also the one Cueable intends to earn.
