01

Understand before you compress

You do not need perfect understanding before memorising, but the material needs hooks. Explain the idea simply, connect it to something known and identify where it differs from nearby concepts.

Then compress it into prompts. Compression forces a decision about what matters; retrieval shows whether that decision produced usable knowledge.

02

Retrieve in the form you will need

If the assessment asks for an essay, individual facts are necessary but insufficient. Practise a thesis and outline. If it asks for oral explanation, answer aloud. If order matters, reconstruct the order.

Cueable offers multiple active-recall modes because memory is not one uniform task. The same underlying material can be recalled as a missing phrase, a connection, a sequence, an outline or an interview response.

03

Space by memory, not by mood

Return before total forgetting, but not so soon that the answer is still echoing. FSRS estimates memory from your previous results and adjusts intervals as evidence accumulates.

Cueable uses that schedule alongside deadline planning. It keeps study content on your devices, optionally syncs it through your private iCloud database and focuses each session on the memories most worth strengthening.

04

Use mistakes as the map

A missed answer is not a failed session. It identifies the exact place where retrieval needs rebuilding. Correct the smallest gap, try again and let future practice concentrate there. Progress becomes faster when errors guide attention instead of merely lowering a score.
